Plane with Nara Bhuvaneswari Onboard Escapes Mishap, Confusion in Air for 20 Mins

 - Sakshi Post

Vijayawada: Social media is abuzz with a discussion on the aborted landing and go-around of an IndiGo flight at Vijayawada International Airport here on Tuesday. Aborted landing is not a new phenomenon for aircrafts but since Nara Bhuvaneswari, the wife of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, was on board, the TDP supporters panicked and expressed their concern for her.

According to sources, an IndiGo flight which had departed from Hyderabad had approached Gannavaram airport this morning. After getting clearance from the air traffic control (ATC), the pilot attempted to land the aircraft. As the flight was about the touchdown, the panel containing the wheels did not open as expected. Showing alacrity, the pilot communicated the technical snag to the ATC and aborted the landing. After going around in the air for 20 minutes and ensuring the wheel issue was sorted, the pilot re-attempted the landing and much to the relief of travellers, the plane landed safely on the runway.

Later in the day, Bhuvaneswari resumed her Nijam Gelavali padayatra from Baptala. As per the party’s schedule, the yatra will also traverse through Ongole and Nellore districts. IT may be recalled here that days after Naidu’s arrest in the skill development scam case, she had embarked on this padayatra to protest the arrest of her husband.
