AP CM YS Jagan Fulfills Promise Made to Fisherman - Sakshi Post

TADEPALLI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the 'YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme' for fisherman in Mummidivaram at East Godavari district on Thursday, November 21 on the World Fisheries Day.


The previous Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government led by Chandrababu Naidu had paid Rs 4000 per family to support fishing families when there was no fishing activity due to adverse climatic conditions. But now the YS Jagan  led-YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) government has now increased the amount to Rs 10000.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister expressed his happiness through his Twitter handle and tweeted that " with the blessings of god and the people of the State,YSRCP government will fulfill all the promises made to the people of AP. On the occasion of World Fisheries Day, AP Government will provide Rs 10,000 to support fishing families, and increased the diesel subsidy from Rs 6.03 to Rs 9,000, and a compensation of Rs 10 lakh will be given to the family of fisherman those who died accidentally." CM Jagan tweeted.

With this 'YSR Matsyakara Bharosa Scheme' around 1.35 lakh fishing families in the state will be benefited. The Fisheries Department has allotted Rs 551 crore funds in the budget to provide better infrastructure.
