40 Quintals Of PDS Rice Seized By Police At Komarole

The Prakasam District Police intercepted a lorry which was carrying PDS Rice and seized close to 40 quintals of rice on Friday morning.

The police had gotten news of the PDS Rice being transported to PDS rice to Porumamilla and intercepted it near Edamakallu village of Komarole Mandal around 10.00 AM. On questioning the driver they got to know that he had been transporting rice in this route for quite some time now. The police have seized the lorry and the rice.

The investigation is underway. A formal statement from the department is awaited. The Driver has been taken into custody and sent to Kamarole police station. More details are yet to be disclosed.
