Kamavarapukota Inter Student Dies After Consuming Insecticides Over Harassment By Villager

Kamavarapukota (West Godavari): A girl student committed suicide in Kotagattu on Saturday morning due to harassment by a man from her village. According to Tadikalapudi Sub Inspector K Sateesh Kumar, K Ratnasri (18) studying intermediate second year in Venkateswara Junior College in Kamavarapukota was living with her grandmother, Veera Venkamma as her parents died recently.

Vamisetty Nagu of Kotagattu had been harassing her since last year. On Friday afternoon, he noticed her staying alone at home and threatened to kill her. Later, she committed suicide by consuming insecticide. Veera Venkamma noticed her in an unconscious state and shifted immediately to a local hospital. After preliminary treatment, she was shifted to Jangareddygudem government hospital for better treatment, where doctors declared her brought dead. Police filed a case based on a complaint lodged by Veera Venkamma and started probing the case.
