YV Subba Reddy To Clarify On TTD Ornaments’ Dispute

Ongole: Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam (TTD) Chairman YV Subba Reddy said that he would strive to develop the TTD Kalyana Mandapam (Marriage Hall) in Ongole.

Speaking to press persons during his visit to Ongole on Wednesday, he said that a governing council would be constituted for TTD developmental activities here.

He said that the development of Prakasam district would always be his priority and as part of that, he would ensure that the Veligonda Project would be completed soon. This was the first issue that he had spoken about with the Chief Minister. He also mentioned that YS Jagan Mohan Reddy had laid emphasis for people's welfare and that they would take measures to ensure that the people of Prakasam district get water for drinking and irrigation purposes. He also said that the government would probe the "irregularities and scams" that took place in all departments including the TTD.

He said that he would speak to the TTD spiritual heads about whether they could display the ornaments belonging to Lord Venkateswara Swamy. The former Ongole MP had promised to work for the development of the constituency and fulfill his duties as the TTD Chairman.
