After Kavitha’s Explosive Press Meet, Telangana CM Revanth Reddy Hits Back

 - Sakshi Post

Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Wednesday (September 3) dismissed all allegations made against him by Kalvakuntla Kavitha during her explosive press meet.

Just hours after being suspended by the BRS for alleged anti-party activities, Kavitha resigned from the party’s primary membership as well as her MLC post.

As the state government announced a CBI probe into irregularities in the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project, Kavitha accused her cousin and BRS senior leader Harish Rao of damaging the image of BRS supremo and her father, K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Reiterating her stance, Kavitha launched a fresh attack on Harish Rao.

She further escalated her charges, alleging that Harish Rao was in touch with the BJP and conspiring with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to seize control of the BRS.

Responding during a program at Vemula in Mahabubnagar district, Revanth Reddy mocked the BRS’s internal squabbles. “I am a leader. Why would I be behind someone? I will lead my party and stand by my people,” he asserted.

Stressing that he neither has the desire nor the time to be “behind” anyone, Revanth requested not to be dragged into the drama.

He went on to slam BRS leaders, saying: “At one time they claim I am backing Harish Rao and Santhosh Kumar, and at another, they allege I am supporting Kavitha.”

Launching a sharper attack, the Chief Minister alleged that BRS leaders were locked in a fight over money amassed through corruption. “Ultimately, BRS will be lost in the depths of time,” he predicted.

Revanth remarked that BRS leaders were embracing each other while concealing knives at their waists — a metaphor for their two-faced nature, displaying affection outwardly while secretly plotting harm.
