Rumours on Prabhas using Body Double in 'Kalki 2898 AD' Baseless

A section of media reported that Prabhas used a body double in 'Kalki 2898 AD'. Kalki is a science-fiction high-budgeted extravaganza directed by Nag Ashwin. The film features Deepika Padukone as the leading lady and Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan and Disha Patani in prominent roles. The reports had it that the makers were upset with Prabhas for using a body double even when he was paid a hefty remuneration.

However, sources close to the film's makers have quashed such reports as baseless. "Don't believe in libellous reports, gossips about Prabhas and Kalki 2898 AD. The team is leaving no stone unturned to deliver a great cinematic experience for audiences and Prabhas fans," said the source in the know.

It is said that Kalki 2898 AD has a unique fusion of the Mahabharat epic with time travel concepts and the film is on the lines of Hollywood film Dune. The film is all set for worldwide release on May 8, 2024.
