Registration for Play Andhra Sports Festival Kicks-off Today: CM YS Jagan
Amaravati: Chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced the commencement of Andhra Pradesh’s biggest ever statewide sports tournament dubbed as “Aadudam Andhra” (Play Andhra) on Monday. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the chief minister wrote that the state government has started this ‘initiative to ensure that all our youth have the best opportunities and support to nurture their sporting talent.’
The registrations for the sports celebrations have commenced already and the interested sportspersons (boys and girls above 15 years) can register their names by visiting this official website – https://aadudamandhra.ap.gov.in/
Under Play Andhra programmes, various sporting events will be held from village/ward secretariat to mandal, Assembly constituency, district and state level. As part of the sports festival, games like cricket, badminton, volleyball, kabaddi, kho kho and other traditional games will be organised by the sports officials. In addition to this, mass yoga exercises, 3-km run, tennikoit and traditional games will be conducted during the sports festival. The winners will be given prizes including memento, cash prize and certificates.
