AP CM YS Jagan Tributes To Dr Rajendra Prasad 

AMARAVATI: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy paid tributes to the first President of independent India, Dr Rajendra Prasad on his 135th Birth Anniversary on Tuesday December 3rd, 2019.

In his message , YS Jagan said that Bharat Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad's crucial contribution to the freedom movement & helping lay a strong foundation for modern India will always be remembered with pride.

Dr. Rajendra Prasad who was the first President of independent India was one of the prominent leaders of the Indian Nationalist Movement alongside Jawaharlal Nehru, Vallabhbhai Patel and Lal Bahadur Shastri and others. A passionate individual and patriot, he gave up a lucrative legal profession to fight for the cause of Indian Independence and worked along with Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters.

He was also instrumental in designing the Constitution by heading up the Constituent Assembly post-independence. Dr. Rajendra Prasad was one of the chief architects in shaping the Republic of India.
