Tamil Nadu Ministers Ask YS Jagan For Drinking Water To Parched Chennai

Amaravati: A delegation ministers from Tamil Nadu met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Friday at his residence. They had come at the behest of the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, K Palaniswamu to appraise and urge the Chief Minister to provide drinking water and help the people of Chennai.

In their appeal they requested his support to help the parched Chennai city, where more than 90 lakh people were suffering due to lack of drinking water since the past few months.

YS Jagan reacted positively to their request and assured them that the Government of Andhra Pradesh would try to alleviate their water woes. He instructed authorities to make necessary arrangements to supply drinking water to Chennai.

Speaking to them, YS Jagan said that neighbouring States should support each other during times of distress. He said that it was necessary to respond with humanity when so many people were suffering and assured them of the needful.

They thanked him for his assistance and said that the people of Chennai would bless him for his timely help. Municipal Administration and Water Supply Minister Ganeshan, Fisheries Minister Jaya Kumar and Principal Secretary Manivasan led the delegation.
