The Indian Meteorological Department Hyderabad has forecasted that it will be raining for the next 48 hours in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The reason is due to the brewing of low pressure area in Bay of Bengal which could probably into a cyclone.

A pregnant woman trapped in flood waters in a village on Monday was rescued by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel. S Santa Kumari, from Koheda village, Velerupadu mandal in West Godavari district, along with her husband, S. Posh Reddy, and other family members, were evacuated from the village.

6. KCR Does Aerial Survey Of Godavari, Visits Kaleshwaram Project

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Tuesday had an aerial view of Godavari river and visited Kaleshwaram project. He flew in a helicopter over the river and visited various places along its 140 km course from Medigadda to Dharmapuri. KCR inspected the river which came alive following incessant rains over last one week and huge inflows from upstream.

A Hyderabad woman has urged External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar to help her husband, who as she claimed is stranded in Oman. Asima Begum requested Jaishankar to ensure her husband's safe return to India. She claimed that her husband has been booked in a "false case" in Oman.

8. Hyderabad: Students protest for 23 vacant PhD seats

About 22 departments in the University of Hyderabad did not call students on the waiting list for admissions, resulting in vacant seats for the MPhil and PhD courses. Alleging discrepancies in the admission process, students staged a protest on Tuesday.

9. GHMC to plant 3.13 crore saplings

The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has decided to plant saplings at 3,084 locations and distribute 13 lakh saplings for free during this year Harita Haaram. GHMC has identified 1,729 acres to plant Rs 3.13 crore saplings in the city.

10. Hyderabad: Bus service to ancient Ramappa Temple begins

The TSRTC on Sunday ran its special bus to the historic Ramappa Temple on Sunday. Even though the 800-year-old temple in Palampet of Mulugu district attracts thousands of tourists, there was no direct bus from Warangal.
