KTR Appeals For Defence Lands For Skyways Construction

DELHI: Telangana Municipal and IT Minister KT Rama Rao met Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi on Wednesday, October 30 and made an appeal from the state government for defence lands for skyways construction.

KTR traveled to Delhi and met Rajnath Singh in New Delhi's South Block and appealed to the defence department to allocate land to expand the national highways of Hyderabad - Nagpur and Hyderabad - Ramagundam.

The IT Minister explained to Rajnath Singh about the need for expansion of the proposed national highways keeping in view of the heavy traffic, as the existing roads are inadequate to meet the heavy rise in vehicular traffic. KTR informed the Defense Minister about the Telangana state government’s proposal to construct skyways along those routes.

KTR asked the Minister to take a positive decision over the acquisition of defence lands required for the construction of skyways.
