Hyderabad: If you are using a 15-year-old vehicle, brace up to pay more now. The Telangana transport department has proposed to increase renewal charges for four-wheeler registration by 15 times and for two-wheeler 10 times. The rule is only for vehicles with white number plates.

The transport department aimed to boost revenues, has proposed the idea and sent it to the Chief Minister's Office for approval.

According to the Motor vehicles Act, those who vehicles are over 15 years, must get it renewed for the next five years.

The present registration fee for two-wheeler is Rs 600, plus Rs 285 as green tax.
