After 'Family Star' Failure, Vijay Deverakonda Bets Big on Songless Thriller

 - Sakshi Post

After facing heavy criticism for his recent film 'Family Star', actor Vijay Deverakonda is betting big on an unconventional thriller to revive his career. The actor has teamed up with 'Jersey' director Gowtham Tinnanuri for an as-yet-untitled thriller where he plays a cop.

According to buzzing social media rumors, the film will not feature any songs, similar to Lokesh Kanagaraj's 'Kaithi' ('Khaidi' in Telugu). Instead, the background score by celebrated composer Anirudh Ravichander is said to play a vital role in elevating the movie's intense narrative.

The decision to go song-free appears to be a calculated move addressing recent audience complaints that songs disrupt the story's flow. If true, this unconventional approach could be a welcome change for Deverakonda, who is looking to bounce back after his previous film failed to impress critics and audiences.

With the first-look poster hinting at a serious tone, the project marks a high-stakes collaboration for Deverakonda and Tinnanuri. The young actor plays a cop, a departure from his recent rom-com roles. All eyes are on whether this risky, music-free formula will be the revival Deverakonda needs.

While no songs from Anirudh may surprise fans, anticipation for his score is sky-high. Having worked with top stars across industries, Anirudh's entry into Telugu cinema is eagerly awaited as he aims to deliver another memorable experience.
