Woman jumps out of auto to escape rape

A woman jumped out of a moving auto rickshaw at GK Nagar in Kavali of Nellore district  after an auto driver tried to rape her, police said.

According to police, the woman boarded the auto to get home after work. She panicked and jumped out of the auto when the driver tried to rape her.

The woman suffered minor injuries.

Police arrested the auto driver and remanded him to custody after the woman lodged a complaint.
