'Tickets sold to Rs. 10 crores each'

TDP leaders Prabhakar Choudhary and Mahalakshmi Srinivas said, “Hardworking leaders are not being  rewarded suitably in the party.”

“Party leadership is selling away the tickets each ranging from Rs.5 crores to Rs.10 crores,” said the leaders.

They warned the party high command that they would retaliate if the tickets were sold.The leaders met their followers in Anantapur to decide their future course of action.

They lamented that they sold away their properties for the betterment of the party. “We spent an amount of about Rs.120 crores for the party in the last 15 years. What about our position if tickets are not allotted to us now?” asked the leaders.

Both the leaders said that they would contest as independents if they were denied the tickets.

Kadapa party chief Linga Reddy also became furious over the denial of the ticket for him. He is readying to resign from the post if he was not given the ticket to contest from Proddutur assembly constituency. He will decide his future course of action only after he met the party chief Chandrababu Naidu once.

Some ruckus also took place in the party cadre in West Godavari district. Party women are unhappy over giving only one ticket to the women in these elections. They are demanding one more seat for them in the district.
