Telangana boils over Centre's 'T' declaration

Union Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad's statements on Telangana issue took an ugly turn in Telangana region after the OU-JAC called for a bandh and pro-Telangana activists attacked offices and houses of several political leaders.

Scores of pro- Telangana activists on Thursday attacked the Congress party office in Warangal district to protest against Azad's statement that the decision on the Telangana issue cannot be spelt out on January 28.

They barged into the party office shouting 'Jai Telangana' slogans. As tension mounted, police resorted to lathicharge and arrested several activists.
