Telangana agitation intensifies in Tirupati

The agitations against the Centre's decision to divide the state took a serious turn in Tirupati. Opposing the division of state, Samaikynadhra activists set a car on fire in the district.

The protestors also deflated the tyres of vehicles in other parts of the city.
A fire engine was rushed to the spot to douse the flames.

Road transport came to a standstill while shops, business establishments and educational institutions remained closed in Tirupati.
