Suspended cop attempts suicide in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A police sub-inspector, suspended on corruption charges, allegedly tried to commit suicide by consuming a poisonous substance at the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate premises on Saturday, police said.

SI Saidulu, who was suspended on Friday by the Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand, drank a liquid mosquito repellent.

He was immediately taken to a hospital where he was being treated. 

Saidulu who belongs to Nalgonda district, was working as Sub Inspector of Police at Vanastalipuram Police station in Hyderabad. The investigation is underway.
