Senior Leaders Urge Sasikala to Lead AIADMK 

Chennai: Senior functionaries of AIADMK have urged V.K. Sasikala to lead the party "on the path shown by Puratchi Thalaivi Amma", according to a tweet from the official Twitter account of the party.

Earlier, the party announced that Jayalalithaa’s successor in the AIADMK will be selected unanimously.

“New General Secretary will be selected soon for AIADMK, it would be an unanimous decision,” the AIADMK said through its official Twitter handle, quoting the party spokesman C. Ponnaiyan on Saturday.

The announcement came ahead of the first meeting of the O. Panneerselvam Cabinet which took place today.
