Scores pledge support to Vijayamma deeksha

Scores of people thronged New MLA quarters to meet YSR congress party honorary president YS Vijayamma and her party MLAs, whose indefinite hunger strike entered third day on Thursday.

YS Vijayamma launched her 'current satyagraha' on April 2 to protest against the power tariff hike and the power cuts in the state. The YSRCP honorary president started the fast after the Congress government hiked the power charges.

"Till the government withdraw the hike charges, I will not call of my fast," Vijayamma told reporters.

Meanwhile, the doctors conducted a medical check-up of Vijayamma and other fasting MLAs. Blood sugar levels of five MLAs are low, doctors said.
