RTC Bus Rams Into Auto, 2 Women Die

Anantapur: Two persons of a family died after their auto was hit from rear by a speeding RTC bus. The road accident took place on Sunday night near Anjanaya Temple of Velugu Colony in Kadiri town of Anantapur district.

Parvathiamma and her daughter Sunita died on the spot while son Anjanaya, who too suffered grievous injuries, is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Parvathiamma along with her two children went to Puttaparthi to meet a hospitalised relative. The mishap occurred en route to Velugu Colony.

Police rushed to accident spot and sent the bodies for post-mortem. A case has been registered and probe is underway.
