Questions Remain In Sensational Murder Attempt On Former Minister’s Son

Hyderabad: The sensational murder attempt on former minister Mukesh Goud's son Vikram Goud in the early hours of Friday has left the investigators with more questions than answers.

Some of the key questions raised during police investigation are:

The Goud house is highly fortified and there were no clues to indicate the entry of an outside intruderVikram Goud does not posses a licensed firearmOnly the "victim" Vikram Goud and his wife were present at the scene of the crimeA security guard was present in the out-house during the time of the shootingIf no one entered the house, was an inmate of the house involved in shooting?

Based on the above questions, police suspect if it was a case of attempted suicide by the minister's son. Also, Vikram's wife Shifali did not state in her complaint if she suspected anyone for the shooting. The CLUES team which investigated the crime scene expressed shock at the way blood stains were wiped clean before police arrived.

Meanwhile, DCP (West Zone) Venkateshwara Rao said that there is no scope of any outsider entering the house. He refused to divulge further details except that a 7.9 mm pistol was used in the incident. However, police suspect that Vikram Goud is facing financial issues and hence the scope for treating the case as attempted suicide.
