Parents Poison Children To Death, Escape 

Samalkota (East Godavari): In a heart-wrenching incident, parents allegedly poisoned their two kids by giving pesticide-laced soft drinks at SRC lodge in Samalkota town in East Godavari district on Friday.

According to the police, couple Satyanarayana and Gouramma along with daughters Anusha and Sirisha, arrived in the town from Visakhapatnam on Friday and booked a room in the lodge.

The couple then gave pesticide-laced soft drink to Anusha and Sirisha and left the place. Noticing that the kids were dead, the lodge staff alerted the police. The police launched a hunt to nab Satyanarayana and Gouramma. A case has been registered.

Meanwhile, the police are suspecting that the family might have come to the town from Vizag to end their lives. The parents could not muster courage to take their lives after killing their daughters, they said.
