Padma Reddy elected Deputy Speaker of T Legislative Assembly

MLA Padma Devendar Reddy scripted history when she was unanimously elected deputy speaker of the Telangana legislative assembly on Thursday.

As the opposition parties too supported her candidature, she could get past the post without an election.

Speaker Madhusudana Chary made a formal announcement about her election in the assembly.

After the election, several members, including the chief minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao, congratulated her. She took charge immediately.
