Ongole Woman’s Body Dumped In Well After Gangrape, Murder

Ongole: A middle-aged woman was raped and killed by unidentified persons at Pathamaaguluru in the district. The body of the victim was found in an agricultural well on the outskirts of the village on Wednesday morning.

Kanakamma (35) was working as a night-time security guard at Vaishnavi Granites near the village. The manner in which her dead body was found in the well indicated that she had been gang raped and killed after having been strangulated sometime on Tuesday night.

As the police were yet arrive at the scene of offence even after being alerted, the villagers were trying to retrieve the body at the time of filing this report.

Grievous injuries were found on the body and her clothes were found torn. The incident marred the mood of festivities which was in the air.
