Telangana Heatwave Alert: Temperatures Likely to Cross 44°C

Telangana is expected to witness extremely hot weather over the next few days, with temperatures likely to cross 44°C in several districts. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heatwave warnings as the state continues to face scorching summer conditions.

According to weather officials, temperatures may rise by another 1°C to 3°C in many parts of Telangana. Districts such as Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, and Khammam are expected to experience severe heatwave conditions.

At the same time, the weather department has also predicted thunderstorms, lightning, and strong gusty winds in some areas. These sudden weather changes may bring temporary relief from the extreme heat in a few districts.

Hyderabad and nearby regions are also likely to remain very hot, with temperatures staying between 41°C and 44°C. Warm nights are expected to increase discomfort for residents.

Officials have advised people to avoid going outdoors during afternoon hours, drink plenty of water, and wear light cotton clothes to stay safe from heat-related illnesses. Children, elderly people, and those with health problems are being asked to take extra precautions.

In recent days, Telangana has already witnessed severe heatwave conditions, and reports suggest several heat-related deaths were recorded across the state. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation as weather conditions continue to remain extreme.
