Hyderabad Metro Rail Revises Timings: Check New Schedule
The Hyderabad Metro Rail has announced revised operational timings, reducing its service hours slightly.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), L&T Hyderabad Metro Rail stated that metro services will now operate from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. from all terminal stations on all days of the week. The new schedule will take effect from Monday, November 3.
Earlier, in April, the Hyderabad Metro had extended its service hours, allowing the last train to depart from terminal stations at 11:45 p.m., applicable from Monday to Friday. However, the latest announcement marks a rollback of that extension.
In its statement, Hyderabad Metro Rail advised passengers to plan their travel accordingly. However, the move has drawn criticism from commuters, many of whom rely on late-night metro services.
Responding to the update on social media, one user commented, “What is this? Late-night metros were the best option for weekday travelers. We were all used to the 11:45 p.m. service. First, you never increased the number of coaches, and now you’re cutting down the timings too? Such a shame.”
As of now, Hyderabad Metro Rail has not provided any official reason for reducing the operational hours, leaving regular commuters disappointed and seeking clarity.
