On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), both gold and silver opened sharply higher during early trade:

• MCX Gold (April Futures):

Opened at ₹1,56,000 per 10 grams, up 0.35%, compared to the previous close of ₹1,55,451.

• MCX Silver (March Futures):

Opened at ₹2,59,887 per kg, rising by nearly ₹9,995 (4%), from the earlier close of ₹2,49,892.

The rally comes amid strength in international bullion prices, supported by a softer US dollar and ongoing global economic uncertainties.

Global Factors Supporting Gold and Silver

International gold and silver prices remained firm due to multiple global triggers, including:

Silver prices also moved sharply higher alongside gold. Retail silver is currently trading in the range of ₹2,58,000 to ₹2,61,000 per kilogram in most major cities, reflecting strong global cues and improving industrial demand.
