Telugu Student Stabbed in US Gym Attack Passes Away

In a tragic incident, a Telugu student, 29-year-old Varun Raj, who was stabbed at a gym in America a week ago, succumbed to his injuries. Varun, originally from Mamillagudem in the Khammam district of Telangana, fought a week-long battle before passing away in the hospital. The family has been notified of this heartbreaking development, and upon hearing the news, they are inconsolable.

Varun had moved to America a year and a half ago, where he was working part-time while pursuing his MS at a university in the state of Indiana. On October 31, as he was returning home from the gym, an assailant attacked Varun with a knife. Local residents promptly alerted the police, who arrived at the scene and swiftly transported him to the hospital. Doctors operated Varun who was unconscious.

Varun's father, Rammurthy, serves as a teacher in the Mahabubabad district.
