Actor Vijayakanth Put On Ventilator After Testing Positive For Covid

Chennai: DMDK leader and senior actor Vijayakanth , who is fondly known as Captain, has tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday as the new strain slowly spreads in the different parts of the country. According to party sources, the actor was hospitalised and the hew was put on a ventilator due to respiratory problems. 

In November, the actor-politician was admitted to the hospital in the city following fever and breathlessness. The condition of the actor was stated to be unstable but he was discharged after the treatment. 

This is the second time the actor has been infected with the Covid-19. The 71-year-old actor was admitted to MIOT Hospital after he was found to be positive in September 2020. He showed mild Covid-19 symptoms but he had fully recovered from it.
