Gold Prices Today, Nov 8: Gold Rates Dip Slightly in India

Gold prices witnessed a slight decline in early trade on Saturday. The price of 24-carat gold dropped by ₹10, with ten grams trading at ₹1,22,010, according to the GoodReturns website. Similarly, 22-carat gold fell by ₹10, with ten grams priced at ₹1,11,840.

Silver also tumbled, with one kilogram falling ₹100, selling at ₹1,52,400 in Delhi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. In Chennai, silver was priced higher at ₹1,64,900 per kilogram.

Global Trends:

US gold prices gained on Friday, buoyed by a softer dollar and rising safe-haven demand amid uncertainty over a potential US government shutdown. Spot gold rose 0.7% to $4,005.21 per ounce, while US gold futures for December delivery settled 0.5% higher at $4,009.80 per ounce.

Other precious metals also saw gains:

Spot silver: $48.41 per ounce, up 0.9% Platinum: $1,543.00 per ounce, up 0.1% Palladium: $1,395.49 per ounce, up 1.5%

Despite the daily gains, platinum, silver, and palladium recorded weekly losses, reflecting mixed global trends in the precious metals market.
