YS Jagan pays tributes to Sir Arthur Cotton

Former Chief Minister and YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy paid tributes to Sir Arthur Cotton on his birth anniversary. Taking to X platform, he said the green prosperity of the Godavari districts stands as a testament to Cotton’s visionary contribution to irrigation and agriculture.

Recalling the construction of the Dowleswaram project near Rajamahendravaram, YS Jagan noted that Sir Arthur Cotton transformed floodwaters into a lifeline for lakhs of acres by providing irrigation and drinking water, adding that his services to farmers and the irrigation sector will always be remembered.
