Pulivendula Medical College Equipment Moved to Guntur, Kurnool: YS Avinash Slams TDP Govt

YSRCP leader and Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy strongly criticised the TDP government for shifting medical equipment from the government medical college in Pulivendula. He alleged that the Chandrababu Naidu government had issued orders to move the equipment from the Pulivendula medical college and hospital to Guntur and Kurnool.

The YSRCP has launched a statewide protest against the TDP government’s decision to develop 10 government medical colleges under the public-private partnership (PPP) model.

Questioning why the TDP government held a grudge against the people of Pulivendula, Avinash said, “Earlier, Chandrababu wrote to the National Medical Commission, rejecting approval for starting classes at the Pulivendula Medical College. He then issued orders to privatize 10 medical colleges across the State. Now, he is shifting modern equipment purchased during the YSRCP regime to Guntur and Kurnool.”

He stressed that the TDP government has not even responded to concerns raised over the privatization of the 10 medical colleges. “This shows how indifferent the government is to the needs of the people,” he remarked.

Avinash accused the Chandrababu Naidu government of focusing on harassing YSRCP leaders and cadres instead of developing the region.
He urged TDP leaders and cadres in the Kadapa region to resist the government’s move to privatize medical colleges and the shift of equipment from the Pulivendula medical college.
