One Million Rally: CM YS Jagan Throws Challenge at Naidu

Anantapur: Launching a scathing attack on Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief Chandrababu Naidu, the chief minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the ensuing Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be going to be a battle between honesty and deception. 

Addressing a mammoth one million-strong ‘Siddham’ public meeting at Raptadu here on Sunday, the chief minister challenged the opposition leader to show any credible work done in the state, especially for farmers during the 14 years of his regime. 

Raining a barrage of questions, he asked Naidu if he introduced even one health scheme for the poor. Criticising Naidu for failing to fulfill his poll promises, the chief minister said the TDP leader is yet again gearing up to deceive the people of AP with his manifesto in the name of Super Six schemes.

He stressed that the election battle is going to be between Non-Resident Andhra (NRA) leaders who visit once in a while to the state and against those who stay in AP and strive for the welfare of the poor.  

CM YS Jagan exhorted the party’s rank and filed to roll up their sleeves and start folding up the TDP chairs as the opposition party should be restricted to 23 assembly seats in the forthcoming elections in the state. He also urged the farmers and star campaigners to go between the people and share how the YSRCP government provided benefits like free crop insurance, RBKs and free electricity to the beneficiaries without any discrimination.
