Woman Kills Husband Over Mutton Curry

Banashankari: In a freaky turn of events that came into light late on Wednesday, an angry woman killed her drunk husband over his misbehaviour. The incident happened in Pragatipura near Banashankari in Bangalore. Gopal (44) and Rudramma (35) lived along with their three daughters. Rudramma, who belongs to Tamil Nadu had married to Gopal 15 years ago. Gopal, who was an alcoholic misbehaved with his wife on Sunday night, insisting that she prepare mutton curry.

While the couple was having an argument over this, Rudramma's parents, who live downstairs in the building, tied down Gopal with a rope. Gopal, who was already drunk, went to sleep.

Later during midnight, Gopal woke up and abused Rudramma in anger. An enraged Rudramma killed Gopal by strangulating him with a saree. She then planned to conduct his last rites by shifting the body to Tamil Nadu. Since it was not possible, Rudramma lied to the police saying that Gopal died of ill-health.

The police, who found a scar on Gopal's neck, questioned Rudramma and her parents. Eventually Rudramma admitted to ther act of crime.
