Man Tosses Chilli Powder Into Mother-In-Law’s Eyes To Rob Her 

Hyderabad: A son-in-law who tried to get rich by robbing his mother-in-law of her gold ornaments by throwing chilli powder into her eyes was arrested and remanded to custody. The incident took place at Tulasi Nagar in Sanjeev Reddy Nagar here in the city.

According to the police, the incident occurred on December 31 last year. The accused, who was identified as Harry, entered his in-laws’ house at Tulasi Nagar in the guise of a thief.

He beat up her mother-in-law Antonamma, who was in sleep. When she resisted him, Harry threw chilli powder into her eyes.

Harry then, made away with gold ornaments in the house and fled from the place. Subsequently, Antonamma lodged a complaint with the SR Nagar police the next morning. A case was registered and the police launched investigation.

During the course of the investigation, the police picked up Harry and interrogated him. Later, Harry confessed to have committed the crime. Harry was remanded to custody.
