Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh): An 8-year-old boy was shot at by one Tahir (25) allegedly for not fetching a packet of cigarettes. Junaid was shifted to GTB hospital in Delhi where he is undergoing treatment and is said to be in a critical condition. The incident took place on Monday.

The victim's parents say Tahir, in an inebriated state called Juanid to bring a pack of cigarette to which the latter refused and came home. Later, Junaid went out and started playing with other children. On the pretext to click a selfie he called Juanid and opened fire at him.

Meanwhile, an eyewitness said that Junaid borrowed the pistol and started playing with it which got accidentally triggered. An FIR was registered against Tahir at Mussoorie police station. A probe is underway.
