Jairam announces sops for Telangana

Union Minister Jairam Ramesh announces several sops to Telangana region on Friday.

Speaking to reporters at Nalgonda, he said, “We will construct the largest power project in the region at a cost of Rs.20,000 crores. It will be the country’s largest."  

“We will use about Rs 25-30 crores of income that came from Hyderabad for the development of Telangana," said Jairam.

He said that they would use 51 percent of Singareni coal for Telangana and the remaining will go to central government.
