Nalgonda: The sensational case of Nalgonda Municipal Chairperson's husband Bodupalli Srinivas murder has taken a curious turn with the investigating officer missing.

Nalgonda 2-Town Circle Inspector Venkateshwarlu's disappearance came to light a day after 11 accused in connection with the case were produced in the local court. It is learnt that the CI handed over his mobile phone and service revolver to the guard in the police station before leaving the station. He was not reachable when contacted on his personal mobile number, said a constable.

However, the sources said that the CI's leave was rejected by the District SP after two controversial murders had occurred within his police station jurisdiction.

Venkateshwarlu was upset after being reportedly reprimanded by his officers before his subordinates. With the four accused persons getting bail in the case, the CI was facing severe criticism for the charge sheet he had filed.
