Hyundai i20 sales cross 10-lakh unit’s mark

New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India on Thursday said its premium hatchback i20 has crossed sales milestone of 10 lakh units in domestic as well as international markets. i20 was launched in India in 2008.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) MD and CEO Y K Koo said in a statement. “Reaching this historic mark is a testament to Hyundai i20’s staying power and the global appeal of a vehicle that delivers sporty design, functionality and class-leading performance”

Besides, the i20 company also sells two other models under the badge -- Elite i20 and i20 Active. Hyundai said it has sold 7,57,035 units of i20, 2,22,044 units of Elite i20 and 38,031 units of i20 Active in domestic and international markets.

HMIL is the largest passenger car exporter and the second largest car manufacturer in India. It currently exports to around 92 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, Australia and the Asia Pacific
