Hardik Patel tells youth to Kill cops but no Patel should die

Surat: Hardik Patel’s statement "Kill 2-5 cops but no Patel should die" to a youth, Vipul Desai, who allegedly threatened to commit suicide in a letter to the police if his demands were not met, has stirred a hornet's nest.

Hardik reportedly told "Kill 2-5 cops but no Patel should die" to the youth when he visited him at his residence in Mota Varachha. "If you have so much in you, kill 2-5 policemen but no Patel will die now," he reportedly told.

Later, Desai told mediapersons, "To give me moral support, Hardik assured me that no Patidar would die now. Instead, kill 2-5 policemen."

Many criticized Hardik for his inflammatory and irresponsible statement.

Meanwhile DGP P C Thakur condemed Hardik's remarks and said, "I will seek a police report from Surat police. If Hardik's remarks constitute any breach of law, an offence will be registered."
