Girl Stages Sit-in Demanding Marriage, Boy Consumes Pesticide To Avoid Wedlock

Peddapally: To avoid marrying a girl, with whom he had a relation for quite sometime, a youth tried to end life by consuming poison The youth is now being treated in the Government General Hospital in Karimnagar.

According to the police, Sindhu and Rajanikanth were in a relationship as students in Hyderabad. Once they are out of the college, Sindhu asked him to marry her, but Rajanikanth began avoiding her. On Wednesday, Sindhu, her mother and other family members went to Karimnagar, where Rajanikanth stays and began staging a sit-in. They demanded that Rajanikanth marry her.

With the situation hotting up, Rajanikanth escaped from the backdoor and ran into the agricultural fields. He consumed pesticide and fell unconscious. The police found a bottle of pesticide by his side and immediately rushed him to the nearest hospital. He is currently under treatment in the hospital.

Meanwhile, on hearing about the suicide attempt of the boy Sindhu, her family members scooted out the scene.
