Five of a family killed in accident

Five members of the same family, from West Bangal were killed when a speeding Scorpio,in which they were traveling, hit a sand-laden lorry at Satyanarayanapuram of Dendaluru mandal of East Godavari district in the early hours of Friday.

Five persons including a woman and a child were killed on the spot when they were going to Eluru to attend a marriage, police said.

The impact of the collision left the Scorpio badly damaged.
