Farmers gherao substation

Charging the electricity department with not providing power to farm connections, farmers of Gandlapenta ghearaoed the electricity substation here on Monday.There is no power supply to the farm connections in Veparala village of Cheruvumundari thanda in Gandlapenta mandal since ten days.

Enquiries revealed that the concerned lineman of the area has been suspended few days ago.

Reacting to the farmers action, assistant engineer Gaurishankar despatched a lineman and restored the power.
