Telugu Director B Jaya No More

Tollywood director B Jaya has passed away after suffering cardiac arrest. She was being treated for heart ailment over the last few days. She breathed her last at a private hospital in Hyderabad on Thursday.

She started her career as a journalist and added many feathers to her hat. She did some commercial Telugu films such as 'Chantigadu and Lovers. She hailed from West Godavari and her husband is BA Raju, who is a top film PRO for Tollywood celebrities.

Jaya has been an inspiration for many women in the industry. She was the one to break the glass ceiling to make a place as director in a male dominated industry.

With Jaya's death, Tollywood has lost a woman who was passionate about filmmaking.
