Driver Averts Bus Accident On The Edge Of Avuku Reservoir 

Kurnool: An APSRTC bus proceeding from Kondamanayunipalle to Avuku in Kurnool district strayed off the road after its brakes failed and was about to plunge into a reservoir but for the alert driver's effort that avoided a potential accident which would have claimed many lives on Tuesday.

Had the bus not been controlled at that point, it would have plunged into the Avuku reservoir in a few seconds, passengers who heaved a huge sigh of relief after the incident said. The bus went out of control after its brakes failed while moving at a regular speed, the driver said.

More than 40 passengers were traveling in the bus at the time of accident. They thanked the driver.
