‘Don’t send Indian Army to fight ISIS…it is not our war’: Owaisi
Faizabad: The MIM chief and Hyderabad MP, Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday clarified that he too condemned the ISIS and added that they have no relation whatsoever with ISIS, nor will they ever have in future.
He was speaking at an election rally in Faizabad in the context of the upcoming by-elections in Bikapur of Uttar Pradesh on February 13. Owaisi said that Narendra Modi should not even think about sending the Indian army to fight against the ISIS, as it was not our war.
With an eye on the Uttar Pradesh elections, the MIM party appears to be increasing its vote base there, with a particular focus on the Dalit minority vote bank. They seem to be trying to build a stronghold for themselves in the poor Muslims belt of Faizabad by putting up their own candidate.
