Class IX Girl With Heavy School Bag Collapses While Climbing School Stairs

Warangal: A class 9 student carrying heavy school bag collapsed on the school premises and died while being shifted to a hospital on Monday at Karimabad.

P. Srivarshita (14) was studying in Class 9 at the Kautilya High School. On Monday, she reportedly went to school and collapsed after she reached third floor of the school building with the heavy bag on her back. She suffered grievous injuries on her forehead and bled heavily.

Others students alerted the school staff, who administered first aid and shifted to a nearby hospital after informing the girl's parents. The doctors then advised the staff to take her to MGM hospital as the girl suffered from low blood pressure. The girl was dead while shifting to the hospital.

However, the girl's parents blamed the school authorities for the delay in shifting the girl to the hospital. They staged a protest in front of the school demanding action against the school management.
