Ears chopped off for golden rings

Punganuru(Chithoor): Unidentified miscreants have cut off a school girl’s ears for her golden rings in Punganuru area in Chithoor district.

The latest incident, which created a buzz locally, took place when the class X student came out of school in the lunch break. The chain snatchers, who came in a car, attacked the girl and cut off the girl’s ears to get the golden rings and fled away.

On receiving the information about the act, police arrived and enquired about the incident. Investigation is on.
